Peptide COA: Find the Matching Report Before Ordering

A peptide COA, or Certificate of Analysis, is useful when its measurements apply to the material you are considering. Find the record in the PeptidesDirect report library, match the product and exact vial strength, and check the batch, lot and report date. Then read which results are supplied and open the available document. Missing measurements and testing notices are not completed results.

Find the product's analysis record

Start from the product's analysis section or search the report library by product, lot or record identifier. Keep the selected vial size in view while you search. The library contains published records and their status, with available document links and register downloads.

A product name is only the first matching step. Record the catalog identifier, exact strength, batch and lot so you can distinguish similarly named products and different presentations. If a required record is not available, ask about that exact material rather than substituting another product's report.

Match the vial strength independently

Check the strength even when the product name matches. An analysis for a 10mg presentation does not establish the reported content of a 5mg presentation. For a blend, the total vial amount and documented component amounts are separate details.

Compare the lot you receive with the record you retain. A report for an older or different lot should not be presented as the measurement for your vial. If you need confirmation of the lot associated with an order, include your order number and selected product when contacting support.

Read the report date and open the document

The report date identifies the reported document's date; it is not automatically the manufacturing date, instrument run date or a validated expiry date. Keep those concepts separate when evaluating suitability for your laboratory.

Open the available report document to inspect the supplied results, units and method information. The record viewer includes a QR return link to the corresponding product. That link helps navigation; a QR code alone does not verify the measurements or expand the report's analytical scope.

Separate purity, identity, content and endotoxin

HPLC peak-area purity describes a chromatographic result under the reported method. It is not the same measurement as peptide content per vial. A familiar product label or a large chromatographic peak alone does not establish a complete molecular identity.

Quantitative content asks how much material is reported, with the stated units and method. Endotoxin testing addresses a different analytical question and does not establish peptide identity, purity or sterility. An endotoxin-only record must remain an endotoxin-only record.

Read each field in its own scope. If a chromatogram, spectrum or method detail is not supplied, do not infer it from the presence of a summary or PDF link. The existing purity-versus-content guide explains the measurement distinctions in more detail.

Peptide Purity vs Identity vs Content

Recognize pending and unreported results

A missing measurement means no value is reported; it does not mean zero, a pass or a failed test. An available result in one field does not fill the gaps in another. Base a laboratory acceptance decision on the documentation your protocol actually requires.

For a record still undergoing testing, the notice is: Product is currently undergoing testing. Results will be reported once available. This is a status notice, not a completed analysis or a promise of a specific result date.

Return to the catalog and complete your research order

After reviewing the available record, return to the catalog to compare the current product and vial options. Add the exact selection to your cart, then continue to checkout and sign in when prompted for shipping and payment review. A checkout link uses your existing cart; it does not add a product automatically.

Keep the order confirmation, received lot information and relevant report together. PeptidesDirect materials are Research Use Only, not for human or veterinary use; a COA does not turn a research material into an approved medicine or establish fitness for administration.

Frequently asked questions

What does peptide COA mean?

Peptide COA means peptide Certificate of Analysis. Evaluate it by matching the material and lot and reading the actual supplied measurements, methods and units.

Can I use a COA from a different vial size?

No. Match the exact strength independently from the product name. Results for one vial presentation must not be assigned to a different presentation.

Does an endotoxin result confirm peptide purity?

No. Endotoxin testing and peptide purity are separate measurements. An endotoxin-only report does not supply a missing purity or identity result.

Does a blank result mean the value is zero?

No. A blank field means no value is reported. Do not replace it with zero or an assumed pass.

Where do I order after checking the COA?

Browse /products, select the matching product and vial size, and add it to your cart. Then use /checkout to review shipping and payment before placing the order.
